Join us for a Backcountry Women Adventure Women hike on Bear Lake Trail in the beautiful Whiteshell Provincial Park! Bear Lake Trail is a ~6km out and back route. Come to the Whiteshell area as the fall colors show their beauty and experience the tranquility of nature on a picturesque hike! You'll be rewarded with a stunning view of the lake, and great company!

Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:00 AM We will begin the hike no later than 9:30 AM. The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share information with the group.
NOTE: There is a pit toilet off the parking lot at this trailhead.
Location: Bear Lake Trail in Whiteshell Provincial park. Exact meeting location will be shared with registered participants. A valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online.

Duration/Distance: 5.8KM
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.
Terrain: Sections with a boardwalk, dirt path, and rocky terrain typical of the Whiteshell area. There is a short rope section at the end to help go up and down steeper portions of the rock. In case of slippery conditions, good hiking shoes and hiking poles are strongly recommended.
Pace: Moderate pace with a break for a lunch and additional stops for water as needed.
