DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, TWO DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (OCT. 31). 

Join us for a Backcountry Women Adventure Women hike on a portion of the Centennial Trail in Whiteshell Provincial Park (from Telford Pond to Ross Lake). This hike travels through forest and on top of rocky ridges, offering beautiful views overlooking Ross Lake. The trail has some ups and downs along the way. This is a lesser travelled section of the Centennial Trail that offers a peaceful atmosphere among nature.

Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:30 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 10:00 AM! The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share information with the group. 


Location: Centennial Trail trailhead at Telford PondExact meeting location will be shared with registered participants. valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online. **NOTE: There are no outhouses at the trailhead. Please plan accordingly.

Duration/Distance: ~6 KM
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.

Terrain: A mix of forests and exposed rocky ridges on the Canadian Shield with some ups and downs. Some wet/boggy areas if there has been recent rain/snow. 

Pace: Moderate with a break for lunch and additional stops for water/photos as needed.

Please keep dogs at home.
