DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, TWO DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (July 12)
Join us for a Backcountry Women Adventure Women hike exploring a Whiteshell section of the Trans-Canada Trail from Jessica Lake to White Lake. The plan will include a visit to a beach for a leisurely swim (have your swimsuit worn under hiking clothes!) as well as a stop at a scenic waterfall. If we decide as a group it's feasible, we can also stop for a meal / refreshment midway at White Lake Resort.

Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:30 AM We will begin the hike no later than 10:00 AM. The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share information with the group.
Location: This adventure starts from Jessica Lake. Exact meeting location will be shared with registered participants. A valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online.

Overall Difficulty Rating: due to the factors mentioned below, this activity is rated a 2/5. This rating is subject to change based on prevailing conditions at the time of the activity, including but not limited to weather.

Duration/Distance: Total of ~8 km - we will have the option to add more distance as time allows. This will be determined as a group at the event.
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.
Terrain: Mostly gentle with open rock faces, and roots and rocks. Expect there may be mud in some areas, and elevation changes. Rocks can get slippery with recent precipitation.
Pace: Moderate with a break for a lunch / swimming, and additional stops for water as needed.
Please keep dogs at home.
