Join us for a Backcountry Women Adventure Women hike on Amisk Trail. This incredible but relatively easy trail is great for those looking to do their first hike of the season outside the city or explore the Whiteshell's lesser-known areas! The beautiful views and casual pace allow us to stop and look at all the new growth at this time of year.

Event leaders: Ainsley Balcewich - 

Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:00 am. We will begin the hike no later than 9:30 AM. The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share information with the group. 

Location: Amisk Trail. Exact meeting location will be shared with registered participants. A valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online.

Overall Difficulty Rating: due to the factors mentioned below, this activity is rated a 3/5. This rating is subject to change based on prevailing conditions at the time of the activity, including but not limited to weather.

Duration/Distance: 5 km
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.

Terrain: Steep rocks with a fair bit of up and down (slippery when wet), thick and boggy forest with mud (expect wet feet if there has been recent rain), and open rock faces. 

Pace: Slow to moderate with breaks for water as needed.

Please keep dogs at home.
