DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, TWO DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (DECEMBER 6)
Join us for a Backcountry Women Full Moon night hike!
This hike is a unique night-hiking experience where we will stop periodically to gaze at the full moon (howling optional) and take in the stillness of the season.
December’s full Moon goes by the name Full Long Night's Moon. The term is a doubly appropriate name because the midwinter night is indeed long, and because the Moon is above the horizon for a long time. The midwinter full Moon has a high trajectory across the sky because it is opposite a low Sun.
Our Full Moon Hikes require that everyone carry their own light source, whether a head lamp or flashlight (mandatory).
Event Leader: Chelsea Owasi and Michelle Ip
Arrival Time: by 7:00PM. We will begin the hike no later than 7:15PM. The time arranged allows for you to have time to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for the leader to share information with the group.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the ancestral lands of the Ininiw, Anishinaabe, and Dakota Nations, and the homeland of the Metis Nation.
