DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, TWO DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (DEC 2)

Join us for a Backcountry Women Adventure Women hike on Cabin Lake trail. This scenic trail features pretty views, a cute red foot bridge, and ends at the peaceful lake. There are multiple ups and downs along with gentle to moderate terrain. We will enjoy lunch / snacks at the lake.


Event Leaders: Maggie Wen and Ashley Moore

Arrival Time: Arrive by 10:00AM. We will begin the hike no later than 10:30 AM. The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share information with the group. 


Location: Cabin Lake trail in Whiteshell Provincial Park. Exact meeting location will be shared with registered participants. valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online.

Duration/Distance: 6 km
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.

Terrain:  Some steep sections, open rock faces, marsh, mix of forest and rocky areas, snow / ice covered. Traction aids such as shoe grippers and/or hiking poles required for safety

Pace: Moderate with a break for a lunch and additional stops for water as needed. 


Dog(s) are welcome, must remain leashed, well behaved and in control throughout entire event. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES ALLOWED. Please leave dog(s) at home if they do not walk well in groups or cannot complete entire trail in winter conditions.
