DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, TWO DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (JULY 15)

Join us for a Backcountry Women Adventure Women hike on on Hanson's Creek Trail for some amazing Whiteshell views and some challenging ups and downs as we go through rocky Canadian Shield terrain.

Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:00 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 9:30 AM. The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share information with the group. 


Location: Hansons Creek Trail in Whiteshell Provincial Park. Exact meeting location will be shared with registered participants. valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online.

Duration/Distance: 8 km
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.

Terrain: The trail leads through a mix of forested and rocky terrain. There are multiple steeper rocky climbs and descents, as well as a beaver dam crossing. Low lying spots will likely be wet, and rocks may be slippery if wet. 

Pace: Slow to moderate with a break for a lunch and additional stops for water as needed.

Please keep dogs at home.
