DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, TWO DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (AUGUST 2)
In light of the current pandemic, we are cautiously proceeding with a small number of participants at each event. We will need your cooperation in only signing up for events you can truly commit to attending. If you miss out on registering please get yourself registered on the waitlist. We also ask for everyone's cooperation and patience as we all adjust! Please see our policy and safety practices here.
Join Backcountry Women for an informal yet structured and unique learning opportunity. Set topics will be discussed with opportunities to ask questions. There will be time to chat freely with other women who have common interests and maybe you will find a new adventure buddy.
This event is open to Backcountry Women members only.
Event leader: Jessica Burtnick
August topic: Hiking with Dogs
Your four-legged family member is one of the best hiking buddies you could ask for - but if you plan to take your dog hiking, it’s important to be prepared, monitor your dog’s health and wellbeing, and consider the other people and animals you share the trail with. Join us for an informal chat about how to gauge your dog's trail readiness, important gear considerations, trail etiquette and safety.
Location: Kildonan Park - details of exact location will be sent to participants.
Please leave dogs at home.
Further details will be provided to registered participants. Participants are responsible for having a valid email address, communicating with the event organizer regarding any changes in attendance, and for checking email prior to an event.
This event allows cancellation no less than 2 days before start of event. If you are no longer able to attend, please see our No Show Policy.
