Our oTENTik adventure is coming up!! Not sure what this means? Think of this adventure as an accessible intro to winter camping (perhaps "winter glamping") with loads of activity options! Conveniently located in the Wasagaming Campground (Riding Mountain National Park), the oTENTiks have a wooden frame with a canvas covering and provide a spacious and comfortable experience.

oTENTiks are furnished with comfy sleeping platforms, a table with seating, and include woodstoves. There is no plumbing or running water inside the oTENTiks, however water taps and heated washrooms with showers are nearby.

No food or drink will be permitted or stored in the tents and we will be required to cook outdoors in heated shelters. Plan for meals that can withstand freezing temperatures; food is to be stored in vehicles. Participants will need to bring appropriate gear including warm bedding, flashlights, cooking equipment, and other items. A gear list will be provided upon registering for this event so that you can adequately prepare. (Please check the details in your registration confirmation email!) We will then review this information together during our pre-trip meeting; some items may be shared among the group but please be prepared to rent, purchase or borrow any items needed for this trip.

- What the registration fee includes: oTENTik accommodations for 2 nights including firewood
- Costs not included: optional equipment rentals, gas (carpoolers will share this cost), park entry/passes, meals, other misc expenses

- Pre-trip meeting: on February 21 there will be a mandatory pre trip meeting for getting ourselves organized and prepared as a group. We will also be deciding together which activities we want to do during this meeting, and finalizing our itineraries including vehicle departure times from Winnipeg on Friday.

We will do 2-3 activities on Saturday and 1 on Sunday before heading back to Winnipeg.

Difficulty: will be decided as a group. You must have appropriate gear and some experience with outdoor activity in the winter.

Pets must be left at home.
